Charging batteries
- Place charger on a flat and dry surface within 1m of a wall socket.
- Remove batteries from tool.
- Insert/slide batteries into charger (Only recharge with the supplied or recommended charger).
- Plug battery charger into wall socket (power source).
- Charge batteries (see Table 3 for recommended charging time).
- After charging, remove batteries from charger: press the release button and pull/slide battery out.
- Insert fully charged batteries on tool.
- Then disconnect charger from mains and store it adequately.
Note: Maintain the charger and batteries at a temperature between +10°C and +40°C.
Tips to ensure optimal battery life:
- Do not to drop, hit, or damage the battery.
- Recharge the battery before it is completely drained.
When you notice that the tool performance is decreasing, recharge the battery accordingly.
- Never charge a fully charged battery. Overloading reduces its life.
- If the battery is hot, allow it to cool down before proceeding with charging.
- When the product is not used, it is recommended to charge the battery every 3 months.
4.4- Starting the machine
The tool is fitted with a safety switch to avoid unintentional start.
- Switching on: press the safety switch (2) then press the trigger switch (12).
- Switching off: release the trigger switch (12).
Warning! The cutting means (nylon lines) continue to rotate for a few seconds after the tool is
switched off.
Wait until the cutting means come to a complete standstill before placing the machine down.
Caution! Do not touch the moving cutting means (i.e. nylon lines).
4.5- Adjustments
4.5.1- Auxiliary handle:
Angle position: to adjust the angle: undo the adjustment lock knob (3) for the auxiliary handle until it
can be moved forward or backwards without any great resistance (5 positions).
Set the handle to the required working position and then tighten the lock knob (3) again.
Height position (Fig.2): to adjust the handle height (i.e. the position of the auxiliary handle on the
upper tube), loosen the locking ring (3), then slide the handle up and down to adjust the height to suit
your own stature. Then tighten the locking ring (3).
4.5.2- Working height (Fig.6)
Place product on firm ground.
Loosen the lock knob (4), slide the tube at the desired working height; then tighten the lock knob (4).
The lock knob must be tightened in such way that the tube cannot slide anymore.
Note: ensure that metal tube is securely locked.
4.5.3- To adjust the Rotation and Angle of motor housing
Rotation (Fig.7): press down the lock ring (10) and turn the head to the desired working position.
Angle (Fig.8): press the button (5) and tilt the head to choose a fit working position. There are five
different locking angles.
