NOTE. In case of shortage of water in the reservoir
or, when the water used is too soft (de-mineralized-
electrical conductivity lower than 30 µS/cm) the
current back is too low causing the shutoff of the
machine at NO WATER with the glowing of the
YELLOW LED.
CONDENSER TEMPERATURE SENSOR
The condenser temperature sensor probe, located on
the frame of the unit, is used (on MF 59/69) to detect
the ambient temperature.
When it is below +3°C (38°F) the signal transmitted
to the PC Board is equivalent to keep the unit OFF till
the ambient temperature rise up to +5°C.
GEAR MOTOR ROTATION AND SPEED SENSOR
(Two on MF 69 Model)
This safety device housed on top of the Drive Motor
(one per each motor on MF 69 model) and detects -
based on Hall Effect principle - the rotating speed
and rotating direction of the drive Motor.
Should the rotating speed drop below 1300 r.p.m. the
magnitude measured by this device is such to signal
to the microprocessor to stop the unit and light-up the
YELLOW LED. The same reaction occures when the
drive motor tends to rotate in the wrong direction
(counterclockwise).
NOTE. To restart the unit after the shutoff caused by
this safety device, it is necessary first to eliminate the
cause that has generated the intervention of the
device and switch OFF and ON the power line main
disconnect switch.
ICE BIN LEVEL LIGHT CONTROL (Two on MF 69
Model)
The electronic ice bin level control, located outside
the vertical ice chute (one per each ice chutes on MF
69 model), has the function to stop the operation of
the ice machine when the light beam between
transmitter and receiver gets interrupted by the flake
ice which accumulates in the chute.
When the light beam is interrupted the 2
LED located in the front of the P.C. BOARD starts to
blink. In case the light beam gets interrupted for as
longer as 10 seconds, the ice machine stops with the
nd
glowing-up of the 2
monitor the full ice bin situation.
The 10 seconds of delay prevents that any minimum
interruption of the light beam due to the regular ice
chuting through the ice chute may stop the operation
of the unit.
After 10 seconds of the ice scooped out (with the
resumption of the light beam between the two
infrared sensor of ice level control – 2
LED blinking fast) the ice machine resume its
operation with the simultaneous extinguishing the
LED.

YELLOW LED (steady) to
nd
YELLOW
At time of replacement of the Ice Level Control or any
time needed, it's possible to calibrate/recalibrate it by
means of the push buttom of the PC Board as per
following procedure:
Switch OFF the power to the machine
Push and hold the PC Board Push Button
Switch ON the power to the machine
Wait till LEDs blink
Release the PC Board Push Buttom
Ice Level Control is now Calibrated/Recalibrated.
NOTE. When Calibrate/Recalibrate it is IMPERATIVE
to check up the correct operation of the Ice Level
Control filling up the vertical ice chute/s with flaker ice
till it break the Infrared beam between transmitter and
nd
receiver (2
YELLOW LED blinking). DO NOT USE
HANDS.
NOTE. Pay attention that Ice Level Control can
effected by external light/sun light. Keep it always in
dark area.
