The P.C. Board has also six small jumpers which
work as described in details here below (from left to
right)
JP1
Purge
Open on machines equipped with the purge solenoid
valve to purge/drain out the water from the machine
at every start up
JP2
PWD
Open on model equipped with the pump out system
of drain water –
NOT USED/CLOSED on MF 59/MF 69
JP3
3/60 MINUTES DELAY
Closed for 3 minutes delay at start up – Open for 60
minutes delay on start up (ONLY ON MODEL MF 66)
JP4
TEST
Always open – It's used ONLY in the factory to start
up all electrical parts together. If left in place, the
machine runs for 3 minutes later it stops with all
LEDs blinking.
JP5
6/12 MONTHS CLEANING REMIND
Closed to remind the 6 months water system
cleaning throu the red light. Open for 12 months
remind
JP6
60/70°C HI CONDENSING TEMP. ALARM
Closed for 70°C setting. Open for 60°C (NOT USED
ON MF 59/MF 69)
NOTE. To by-pass the delay time at every start-up,
just close the TEST JP4 contacts with PC Board
energised
The five LEDS, placed in a row in the front of the P.C.
BOARD, monitor the following situations:
Unit under electrical power
Unit shut-off at full storage bin
Unit in shut-off procedure at full storage bin (I/R beam cutted)
Unit restart after the shut-off at bin full (I/R beam resumend)
Unit shut-off due to a too low-water level into float tank
Unit shut-off due to a too low-ambient temperature <+3°C
3 minutes delay time at start up
Too low room temperature (<+3°C)
Unit shut-off due to the wrong direction or no rotation of gear motor
Unit shut-off due to the too low speed of gear motor
Unit shut-off due to a too hi-evaporating temp. > 0°C after 10 minutes from start up
Unit shut-off due to a too lo-evaporating temp. (< -30°C)
Condenser sensor out of order
Evaporator sensor out of order
Ice level control out of order
The Water Sensitivity trimmer is used to modify a
little bit the current transmitted through the two metal
pins of the water level sensor to the PC Board.
INTERFACE P.C. BOARD (Only on MF 69 Model)
Used only on MF 69 model, it allows to elaborate the
signal
rotation/direction sensors as well as from the two ice
bin level light controls transmitting just one signal to
the Main P.C. Board.
In practice the Interface P.C. Board is equipped by
four INLET sockets (two for the drive motor
rotation/direction sensors and two for the ice level
controls) and two OUTLET plugs connected to the
unit P.C. Board.
EVAPORATOR TEMPERATURE SENSOR
The evaporator sensor probe is inserted into its bulb
holder which is welded on the evaporator outlet line.
It detects the temperature of the refrigerant on the
line out from the evaporator by transmitting a low
voltage current to the P.C. Board.
According to the current received, the PC Board let
the ice maker run or not.
In case the evaporating temperature is above 0°C
(30°F), after 10 minutes from the unit start-up, or
below -25°C, the evaporator sensor signals to the PC
Board to stop immediately the machine, with the
blinking of the 5th YELLOW LED.
FLOAT RESERVOIR WATER LEVEL SENSOR
SYSTEM.
This water level sensor consists of two small
stainless steel pins vertically fitted on the reservoir
cover and electrically connected to the low voltage
circuit of the P.C. Board. When the cover of the
reservoir is positioned in its place the bottom of the
metal pins are in contact with water transmitting a low
power current back to the PC Boards.
