4. Set the time display format (24 or 12 hours), the hours, the
minutes, day, month, and year one after the other.
NOTE:
• In 12 hour display AM = morning, PM = afternoon
appears.
• The storage of the time and date will be erased once
the power supply has been interrupted.
General operation
NOTE:
• You will find some buttons both on top of the device
and on the front panel of the device. Identical buttons
have the same function.
• The operation of the device is described by the buttons
on top of the device.
Turning Device on / off
• Press the STANDBY / FUN button to turn on the device.
• To turn off the device, press the STANDBY / FUN button
for approx. 3 seconds. Then disconnect the mains plug.
NOTE: In AUX IN mode
After approx. 10 minutes without signal or with very poor
signal, the device will automatically switch to standby.
STANDBY / FUN button
For switching between DAB and FM mode.
VOLUME + / – control
Turn = Adjust to your preferred volume level.
Press = Confirm (ENTER)
Set display brightness
Press and hold the SNOOZE / SLEEP / LIGHT HIGH / MED /
LOW button repeatedly to select the desired display
brightness.
Press and hold once
= average brightness
Press and hold twice
= low brightness
Press and hold 3 times = high brightness
Delayed shut-off (SLEEP)
The device automatically switches off when the selected time
is reached.
1. Press the SNOOZE / SLEEP / LIGHT HIGH / MED / LOW
button. "SLEEP OFF" appears on the display.
2. Press the SNOOZE / SLEEP / LIGHT HIGH / MED / LOW
button repeatedly to select the time after which you want
the device to switch off. Select between 10 to 90 minutes
in increments of 10 minutes.
NOTE:
• Briefly press the SNOOZE / SLEEP / LIGHT HIGH / MED /
LOW button in order to display the remaining time.

NOTE:
• The activated setting is shown on the display by the
symbol " ". For technical reasons, the symbol is hidden
depending on the displayed on-screen information.
EARPHONE Headphone jack (Stereo)
For headphone operation, use headphones with a 3.5 mm
jack plug that you plug into the headphone jack of the
device. The loudspeaker is switched off.
Listening to the radio
Hints for FM / DAB Reception
• The FM and DAB reception are dependent on the
location.
Follow the steps below:
- Completely extend the telescopic antenna.
- For FM: If necessary, change the position of the
telescopic antenna to improve the reception.
- For DAB: For optimal DAB reception, we recommend
to align the telescopic antenna vertically.
• Depending on the location, some station may not be
received in your region or only with interference.
• When playing a radio station, the time and date is taken
from the broadcasting service.
• The FM and/or DAB supplementary information (RDS /
DLS) may differ. This is selected and transmitted individ-
ually by the broadcast stations. If the reception quality at
your location is inadequate, the supplementary informa-
tion may be displayed incorrectly or not at all. This is not a
malfunction of the device!
Scan FM stations
1. Repeatedly press STANDBY / FUN button until the display
shows "FM MODE".
2. You have two options for tuning a station:
Automatic station scan:
Important! Any previously stored radio stations will be
overwritten.
- Keep the PRESET / SCAN button pressed. The device
automatically searches for FM stations. "Suchen..." and
a progress bar appears on the display. The figure on the
right of the display shows the number of radio stations
found. The radio stations found are stored in ascending
order of frequency.
Manual scan for radio stations:
- Press the / buttons to select the desired station.
- Press the / buttons for a short time. The unit
searches to the next or the previous station respec-
tively.
3. If the reception is too weak and there is noise on the
received station, try to improve the reception by changing
the position of the telescopic antenna.
