5. Installation

The tasks described in this section may only be
carried out by a qualified electrician.
5.1

Choice of location

The device is solely intended for fixed floor mounting. A
suitable location meets the following requirements:
„ Technical data and mains data are the same.

„ Permitted environmental conditions are observed.
„ The minimum distances are respected.

Danger of injury and fire
If the device is operated in potentially explosive
atmospheres (explosive area), explosive substances may
ignite due to sparking of components of the device.
f Do not use the device in potentially-explosive
atmospheres (e.g. at gas filling stations).

ATTENTION
Device damage due to unsuitable ambient conditions
An unsuitable choice of location may cause damage to the
device. Please note the following points when choosing a
location:
f Do not place the device in areas at risk of flooding.
f Protect the device from direct water jet.
MENNEKES recommends protecting the device
with on-site curbs or bollards.

5.1.2 Minimum distances

ATTENTION
Damage to the device due to insufficient ventilation.
Insufficient ventilation can lead to overheating and thus to
damages to the device.
f Observe the specified minimum distances to other
objects (e.g. walls).
Please observe the specified minimum distances also for
barrier-free access during operation and maintenance and
repair work.
