Installing the Internal Batteries

To install the battery trays into the UPS chassis:

Locate the cartons labeled "Battery Tray" (IBM PN 39J4828).
Verify that the battery circuit breaker on the UPS rear panel is in the
OFF position (see Figure 13 on page 14).
Unscrew and set aside the battery retaining bracket (see Figure 10).

Slide the battery trays into the chassis (see Figure 11).

Secure the battery trays to the chassis with the battery retaining
bracket and screws removed in Step 3.
