EBM Installation

A small amount of arcing may occur when connecting an EBM to the UPS. This is normal and
will not harm personnel. Insert the EBM cable into the UPS battery connector quickly and
firmly.
To install an optional EBM(s):

Align the UPS front cover (provided in the P65 accessory kit) with
the right retaining hook and front cover holes on the UPS cabinet.
Insert the UPS front cover (see Figure 12).

If you are installing an optional EBM, continue to the following
section, "EBM Installation;" otherwise, continue to "UPS
Installation" on page 15.
Verify that all battery circuit breakers are in the OFF position (see
Figure 13).
Plug the EBM cable into the UPS battery connector.
