Placing Q in the ear

• Put the end of the soft tip with the 'star' loosely in the ear. The pull cord is situated behind the
tragus, directing towards the nose.
• Insert the device into the ear by pressing on the flat side of the device (with the push button) in
a small circular motion. Now gently 'massage' the device deeper into the ear. If the mouth is
opened wide, insertion will be easier.
Make sure your hands are clean while inserting the Q. Make-up, crème, body oil, gel,
hairspray and likewise products can dirty up the module and can, for example, contribute to
the clogging of the microphone opening.

• The ear canal sometimes has a bend and during insertion the device should be directed over
this bend. In that case, the device should be slantingly pushed forward with the forefinger
(battery side towards the nose) and subsequently pressed slightly backwards during the
insertion (battery side towards the back of the head). By doing this, the device will follow the
shape of the ear canal.
N.b.: It is impossible to insert the device 'too deep'.
