5 Programming

Programming allows to store the values of 5 functions in the casting sequence. Additionally, an increase
of the melting temperature (see item 5.2) can be stored. The programmed melting temperature increase
is used by all programs.
If the unit is switched on, it is in the standby-mode and adjusts the starting temperature of the program
that has been selected.
All steps of the casting sequence can be programmed individually. Please enter these steps into the table
under item 5.3 in order to be able to program them a new if they are lost.

• Pressure delay
• Cooling time
The values depend on the processing instructions of the respective alloy. Therefore casting programs for
16 different alloy types can be preprogrammed. Upon delivery the programs 0 – 9 have been prepro-
grammed. The corresponding values have been matched with 10 different DeguDent alloys, which can
be seen in the table under item 5.3. If required, these values can also be reprogrammed individually. The
program items A – F have not been preprogrammed.
5.1 Programming the casting sequence

If steps 3 and 4 are repeated, all necessary data of the respective program items will be stored.
Pressing the "Progr." key deactivates the programming mode and the unit returns to the standby mode.
Programming is not possible during a casting process. By pressing the "Progr." and "E" keys the pro-
grammed values can be fetched during the casting sequence. The casting sequence is not disturbed
through this step.
Function
Selecting a program (16 programs, 0 – 9 or A – F).
Lamp is on during programming. Control lamp of starting temperature is lit
and the stored starting temperature is shown in the display.
Select the desired value by pressing
Stores the entered value and moves to the next program item. The control
lamp of the next program item is lit and shows the stored value in the display.
