Press this key, if the melting temperature that has been entered is insufficient. The feature of
the melting temperature increase allows for increase of the programmed melting tempera-
ture step-by-step (upon delivery the unit is programmed at + 10 °C). Repeated pressing of
this key results in a further increase of the melting temperature. This step can be repeated
as often as desired until the maximum temperature is reached. The diode flashes during the heating
process. It is lit continuously if the additional melting temperature is reached. The melting temperature
that has been entered is not increased and remains unchanged during a subsequent casting process.
The desired temperature increase can be entered individually (see item 5.2 "Programming the melting
temperature increase").
If this key is pressed, the casting chamber will vibrate for a short moment. This helps to
recognize more clearly whether the alloy has been completely melted or not. This key also
works during the melting process.
Do not look inside the casting chamber at temperatures above 800 °C. Use the shaded viewing
glass that is included !
After the alloys has been melted completely, the entered time of further heating is activated
by pressing this key. After the end of the time of increased heating an acoustic signal can
be heard. If the casting chamber is closed, evacuating is initiated. After the corresponding
vacuum has been reached, the casting process is started. Please remember that approx.
20 seconds are required for evacuating the casting chamber. This must be considered when program-
ming the time of further heating.
Example: If the manufacturer of the alloy recommends a time of increased heating of 60 s, the time of
increased heating in the corresponding casting program should be programmed to 40 s.
