5. Safety regulations
Take suitable precautions to protect yourself and
your environment from potential hazards.
Never put the sheet metal nibbler to any use other
than that intended.
Keep pneumatic tools safe from children.
Always concentrate while you work. Do not work if
you are tired.
Use only a quick-release coupling to connect up
the air supply.
It is imperative to use a pressure reducer to set the
working pressure.
Always disconnect the tool from the air supply
before carrying out any repairs or maintenance
work.
Use only original replacement parts.
Never allow the tool to run unloaded at full idle
speed for longer than 30 sec.
Wear the necessary protective clothing when
working with the sheet metal nibbler.
Wear goggles when cutting.
Do not exceed a maximum pressure of 6 bar.
Operate the tool only with compressed air. Never
use gas, combustible gas or compressed oxygen
as an energy source.
6. Putting into operation
Connect up your new pneumatic tool as follows:
Before you can use your pneumatic nibbler you must
first screw the supplied nipple for the quick-release
coupling into the air connection nipple. Use teflon
sealing tape to seal the connection. Connect the
nibbler to a compressor via a high-pressure hose
and a combination maintenance unit.
Set the required working pressure of max. 6 bar at
the combination maintenance unit. Use special
pneumatic oil in the mist oiler on the maintenance
unit. The oil is to be fed one drop at a time (note the
instructions supplied with the maintenance unit').
Ensure the air is dry and dust-free.
Working with the nibbler:
Before you start to work, switch on the nibbler first
and then place it on the sheet metal you want to
cut.
If you place the nibbler on the metal before you
switch on, the initial impact will be so great as to
destroy the cutting punch or the machine will not
run at all.
Guide the tool in a neat straight line when cutting
(do not tilt) or the punch socket may break.

Work with a light and smooth touch.
Keep the punch socket and the cutting punch
clean.
7. Maintenance and cleaning
Observance of the following maintenance
instructions will ensure that this quality tool gives you
years of troublefree service. Regular lubrication is
vital for the long-term, reliable operation of your
sheet metal nibbler. Use only special tool oil for this
purpose.
You can choose from the following options for
lubricating the tool:
7.1 By mist oiler
A complete conditioning unit includes a mist oiler and
is fitted to the compressor.
7.2 By hand
If your air system has neither a conditioning unit nor
a line oiler, you must feed 3-5 drops of special tool oil
into the air connection each time before you use your
sheet metal nibbler. If the pneumatic tool has not
been used for several days, you must feed 5-10
drops of oil into the air connection before you switch
on.
Keep your pneumatic tool in dry rooms only.
