Cause
The lamp cover or the air filter cover is
detached.
The lamp has reached the end of its life.
The lamp has reached too a high
temperature.
The fan is broken.
The internal temperature is unusually
high.
The electrical system has failed.
INPUT-B FUNC. is set to OFF.
The PJ/NETWORK select switch on the
Remote Commander is set to
NETWORK.
Meaning
Internal temperature is too high.
This input signal cannot be projected as
the frequency is out of the acceptable
range of the projector.
The resolution setting of the output
signal of the computer is too high.
You have input an RGB signal from the
computer when INPUT-A in the SET
SETTING menu is set to COMPONENT
or VIDEO GBR.
It is time to replace the lamp.
The backup battery for the Windows CE
OS is exhausted.
Meaning
No input signal
You have pressed the wrong key.
Remedy
Attach the cover securely (see pages 37 (GB) and
38 (GB)) .
Replace the lamp (see page 37 (GB)).
Wait for 90 seconds to cool down the lamp and
turn on the power again (see page 25 (GB)) .
Consult with qualified Sony personnel.
Check to see if nothing is blocking the ventilation
holes.
Consult with qualified Sony personnel.
Set INPUT-B FUNC. in the INSTALL SETTING
menu to ON (see page 33 (GB)) .
Set the PJ/NETWORK select switch to PJ, then
press the MENU key.
Remedy
Turn off the power.
Check to see if something is blocking the
ventilation holes.
Input a signal that is within the frequency range.
Set the setting of output to XGA (VPL-PX15/PX10)
or SVGA (VPL-PS10) (see page 18 (GB)) .
Set INPUT-A correctly (see page 32 (GB)) .
Replace the lamp.
Consult with qualified Sony personnel.
Remedy
Check connections (see pages 18 (GB) to 23 (GB)) .
Press the appropriate key.
