Check that the documentation relating to the installation is present and fully filled in

The system has top and bottom spring loaded retractable terminations that prevent the rope grab from accidentally slipping off the rail

The installation is complete, with top, bottom and intermediary mounting brackets, anchor line (energy absorber and tensioner if necessary)
All the mounting brackets (top, bottom or intermediary) are installed on the structure according to the recommendations given in this guide AND using

the fastenings provided by the manufacturer

For the rail installations (only): the junctions are present for each section change AND are properly fixed

The intermediary mounting brackets are set at the given intervals

All the nuts are properly installed AND include an anti-release system (Nylock nut OR nut with Grower washer – or equivalent OR nut locknut)

The rope grab/trolley slides freely on the anchorage line without sticking

The system is perfectly aligned vertically, from the top to the bottom
Check that a data plate is present on each device and each device access and that the data has been correctly filled in and is legible.

Presence and legibility of the markings

Inspect the general state of each component of the system: ensure absence of corrosion, deformation and cracking.

Check the state of the cable; there should be no signs of thread breakage, deformation (kinks or broken strands, etc.), crushing, unwinding or oxidation.

Check the general condition of the fasteners and their tightness (verify the tightening torque)

Check the tension of the cable; the control washer must turn freely (see description of the absorber in the instructions)

Check that the fall indicator is not activated

Check that the cable has not slipped out of the manual crimp (indicator varnish)

Check that the system has been installed in accordance with the installation instructions

Check that the system has not been modified in any way

Check that the cable is correctly positioned in the intermediate loops
Before each use, check that the system is functioning properly. Specifically, check:
-
that the product does not have any visible defects, cuts, abrasions, or signs of wear, cracks, etc.
-
the energy absorber (if fitted) has not been activated (red ring visible),
-
that there are no traces of oxidation.
Also check that the annual device inspection is still valid.
The top anchorage point (energy absorber) and the cable are safety parts – special attention should be paid to their visual inspection.
No modifications, including the addition or removal of parts, may be carried out without first consulting the manufacturer. Missing or defective parts must be
replaced with original parts provided exclusively by the manufacturer. In case of doubt, for your safety it is mandatory to have the manufacturer, or competent
person appointed by them, inspect the installation.
5- MAINTENANCE:
The KS2001, KS6000 and KS7000 systems do not require any special maintenance.
