Turning the ringer on or off

In the RING ON mode the
handset consumes battery power
even when you are not talking on
the handset.
!
In the BATT SAVE mode a
caller's name or phone number
will not appear on the display
(see page 24.)
The RING ON/BATT SAVE switch on the handset turns the ringer
on or off.
If you do not want to be disturbed by telephone calls, you can turn
the switch off.
Move the RING ON/BATT SAVE switch to:
• RING ON to turn the ringer on.
or
• BATT SAVE to turn the ringer off to save battery power.
This is useful if you use the handset with another telephone
connected to the same line and you can hear the other telephone
ring.
In this setting, the handset will not ring, but you can still make or
receive calls by pressing TALK/DIAL.
