5) Wird bei dem auf Pause stehenden Laufwerk eine
andere CD eingelegt, anschließend wieder den
Relay-Betrieb mit der Taste RELAY aktivieren.
Hinweise:
a Wird in dieser Betriebsart die Taste CUE (19) des
wiedergebenden Laufwerks betätigt, wechselt die
Wiedergabe zum anderen Laufwerk.
b Wird an dem auf Pause stehenden Laufwerk die
Taste CUE gedrückt gehalten, erfolgt die Wieder-
gabe von diesem Laufwerk so lange, bis die
Taste wieder gelöst wird.
Start des anderen Laufwerks am Ende einer CD
1) Zuerst in beide Laufwerke eine CD einlegen.
Dann erst die Taste RELAY (2) betätigen. Die
LED über der Taste blinkt.
2) Beide Laufwerke mit der Taste CONT./SINGLE (6)
auf Gesamttitelwiedergabe schalten: „CONTINUE"
(c) muss in beiden Displays angezeigt sein.
3) Ein Laufwerk auf Stopp schalten: Die Taste TIME/
STOP (5) so lange gedrückt halten, bis im Dis-
play das Pausensymbol
(b) erlischt.
4) Die Wiedergabe auf dem anderen Laufwerk mit
der Taste
(20) starten. Am Ende der CD startet
das andere Laufwerk. Der Vorgang wiederholt sich
bis zum Ausschalten des Relay-Betriebs. (Zum
Ausschalten die Taste RELAY erneut drücken.)
5) Wird bei dem auf Stopp stehenden Laufwerk eine
andere CD eingelegt, anschließend wieder den
Relay-Betrieb mit der Taste RELAY aktivieren
und das Laufwerk mit der Taste TIME/STOP auf
Stopp schalten.
6.5 Anspielen eines Titels
1) Nach dem Einlegen einer CD zuerst auf den ge-
wünschten Titel springen [über die Zifferntastatur
(13) oder mit den TRACK-Tasten (22)].
2) Erscheint im Display die Laufzeit (j) des Titels,
die Taste CUE (19) gedrückt halten. Der Titel wird
so lange angespielt, wie die Taste gedrückt wird.
3) Nach dem Loslassen der Taste CUE springt das
Gerät auf den Titelanfang zurück und schaltet auf

4) On any spot of the CD, the replay can additionally
be switched from one player mechanism to the
other one with the button

5) If another CD is inserted in the player mechanism
set to pause, activate the relay mode with the
button RELAY once again.
Notes:
a If the button CUE (19) of the replaying player me-
chanism is actuated in this operating mode, the
replay changes to the other player mechanism.
b If the button CUE is kept pressed at the player
mechanism set to pause, the replay from this
player mechanism continues until the button is
released.
Start of the other player mechansim at the end of a CD
1) Insert a CD into both player mechanisms first.
Only then actuate the button RELAY (2). The
LED above the button starts flashing.
2) Set both player mechanisms to total title replay
with the button CONT./SINGLE (6): "CON-
TINUE" (c) must be indicated in both displays.
3) Set one player mechanism to stop. Keep the but-
ton TIME/STOP (5) pressed until the pause sym-
bol
(b) is extinguished in the display.
4) Start the replay on the other player mechanism
with the button
(20). At the end of the CD, the
other player mechanism will start. This procedure
is repeated until the relay mode is deactivated.
(To switch off the mode, actuate the button RE-
LAY once again.)
5) If another CD is inserted into the player mecha-
nism set to stop, activate the relay mode once
again with the button RELAY and set the player
mechanism to stop with the button TIME/STOP.

6.6 Funktion OUTRO
Die Funktion OUTRO dient zum Abspielen der je-
weils letzten 30 Sekunden der folgenden Titel.
1) Zum Einschalten der Funktion die Taste CONT./
SINGLE (6) ca. 3 Sekunden gedrückt halten, bis
im Display „OUTRO" (k) angezeigt wird.
2) Auf den gewünschten Titel springen (siehe Kap.
6.2 „Titelanwahl"). Die Wiedergabe mit der Taste
(20) starten. Die letzten 30 Sekunden des
Titels werden abgespielt.
3) Zum Ausschalten der Funktion entweder die
Taste CONT./SINGLE erneut ca. 3 Sekunden
gedrückt halten, bis im Display „OUTRO" erlischt
oder die Taste TIME/STOP (5) kurz betätigen.
6.7 Schneller Vor- und Rücklauf
Soll während des Abspielens einer CD der Titel
schnell weiter- oder zurückgefahren werden, die
Taste SEARCH
oder
(14) gedrückt halten.
Hinweise
a Der Vor- und Rücklauf fährt auch über mehrere
Titel bis zum Anfang oder Ende der CD. Wird je-
doch bei der Einzeltitelwiedergabe mit dem Vor-
lauf der nächste Titel erreicht oder mit dem Rück-
lauf der Titelanfang, schaltet das Gerät auf Pause.
b Im Pausenmodus wird nach einem Vor-/Rücklauf
die momentane Stelle ständig wiederholt, bis die
Wiedergabe mit der Taste
die Taste CUE (19) zweimal kurz angetippt wird.
6.8 Genaues Anfahren einer Stelle
Zum exakten Anfahren einer gewünschten Stelle bei
eingeschalteter Pause das Drehrad (16) drehen. Auf
der CD wird so lange und so schnell vor- oder zu-
rückgefahren, wie das Rad gedreht wird. Dabei kann
auf dem Display in der Zeitanzeige (j) die genaue
Position abgelesen und in Schritten von 1 Frame (F)
6.5 Short replay of a title beginning
1) After inserting a CD, go to the desired title first
[via the numerical keys (13) or via the TRACK
buttons (22)].
2) If the display shows the playing time (j) of the title,
keep the button CUE (19) pressed. The begin-
ning of the title is played as long as the button is
pressed.
3) After releasing the button CUE, the unit returns to
the title beginning and is set to pause. Press the
button
(20) to start the title. It is still possible to
return to the title beginning with the button CUE.
6.6 Function OUTRO
The function OUTRO serves for replay of the last
30 seconds each of the following titles.
1) To activate the function, keep the button CONT./
SINGLE (6) pressed for approx. 3 seconds until
"OUTRO" (k) is shown on the display.
2) Go to the desired title (see chapter 6.2 "Title se-
lection"). Start the replay with the button
The last 30 seconds of the title are replayed.
3) To deactivate the function, either keep the button
CONT./SINGLE pressed again for approx. 3 sec-
onds until "OUTRO" is extinguished on the display
or shortly actuate the button TIME/STOP (5).
6.7 Fast forward and reverse
For fast forward or reverse of the title while replaying
a CD, keep the button SEARCH
pressed.
Notes:
a The fast forward and reverse also goes beyond
several titles to the beginning or the end of the CD.
However, during single title replay, the unit is set to
pause if the next title is reached with fast forward or
if the beginning of the title is reached with reverse.
b In the pause mode, the current spot is constantly
repeated after fast forward or reverse until the
replay is started with the button

6.9 Geschwindigkeit und Tonhöhe verändern
Die Geschwindigkeit und damit gleichzeitig die Ton-
höhe („pitch") lassen sich mit dem Schieberegler
PITCH CONTROL (15) um max. ±16 % ändern:
1) Den Einstellbereich für die Geschwindigkeitsän-
derung mit der Taste PITCH (10) wählen. Die
LEDs (9) über der Taste zeigen den gewählten
Bereich an: ±8% (Grundeinstellung nach dem
Einschalten) oder ±16 %. Die entsprechende
LED blinkt. Das Blinken signalisiert, dass der
Regler PITCH CONTROL (15) nicht aktiviert ist.
2) Die Taste ON/OFF (11) drücken. Damit ist der
Regler PITCH CONTROL aktiviert und die ent-
sprechende LED (9) leuchtet konstant.
3) Die Geschwindigkeit mit dem Schieberegler
PITCH CONTROL (15) verändern. Das Display
gibt im Anzeigefeld PITCH (h) die mit dem Regler
eingestellte prozentuale Abweichung von der
Standardgeschwindigkeit an.
Wurde mit der Taste BPM/TAB (21) der ma-
nuelle Beatcounter aktiviert [Anzeige „BEAT" (e)
im Display], zeigt das Display im Anzeigefeld
PITCH (h) die Anzahl der Taktschläge pro Minute
an (siehe Kapitel 6.3.2 „Beatcounter"), die sich
bei Verstellen des Schiebereglers entsprechend
(20) gestartet oder
ändert.
4) Mit der Taste ON/OFF (11) kann jederzeit zwi-
schen der mit dem Schieberegler eingestellten
Geschwindigkeit und der Standardgeschwindig-
keit umgeschaltet werden.
6.9.1 Takt zwischen 2 Musikstücken angleichen
Mit den Tasten PITCH BEND (12) kann der Takt eines
Titels auf dem Laufwerk 1 an den Takt eines Titels auf
dem Laufwerk 2 angepasst (synchronisiert) werden.
6.8 Precise selection of a certain spot
To precisely select a desired spot with activated
pause, turn the rotary wheel (16). The unit advances
and reverses so long and so fast on the CD as the
wheel is turned. During this process, it is possible to
read the precise position on the time display (j) and
to select it in steps of 1 frame (F) [1 frame =

6.9 Changing the speed and pitch
The speed and at the same time the pitch can be

1) Select the adjusting range for the change of pitch
with the button PITCH (10). The LEDs (9) above
the button indicate the selected range: ±8 % (basic
(20).
