The direction of rotation arrow (6) sym-
bolises the running direction of the at-
tachment tool.
• After a heavy load, let the device idle
for a few minutes to cool down the at-
tachment tool.
• Do not touch the attachment tool until it
has cooled down.
Trial run
Always carry out a trial run without a load
before carrying out your first procedure as
well as after every tool change. Switch the
tool off immediately if the tool is not rotat-
ing smoothly, if considerable vibration oc-
curs, or if you hear abnormal noises.
Cutting
Requirements
• Cutting disc (diameter ≤ 125 mm;
Thickness ≤ 1.2 mm)
• Attachment (17) mounted on guard
cover (7)
Notes
• NOTICE! Property damage. Never use
a roughing disc for cutting!

workpiece.
Information on building statics
Slits in structural walls are subject to the
country-specific regulations. These regula-

Before beginning work you should ask the
structural engineer, architect or relevant
construction supervisor for advice.
Roughing
Tools and aids required
• Roughing discs (diameter ≤ 125 mm)
• Guard cover (7)
DANGER! Risk of injury due to loss of
control. Remove the attachment (17) of
the guard cover (7) to avoid bumping the
workpiece.
NOTICE! Property damage. Never use a
cutting disc for roughing!
In general, work with small scrubs. Exert
only moderate pressure on the workpiece.
A working angle of 30° to 40° achieves
the best results for scrub grinding.
Grinding with a wire brush
Requirements
• Suitable grinding brush
• Guard cover (7)
Notes
• Wear safety goggles as wires could
come loose.
• Only use disc brushes that are no thick-
er than the maximum permitted thick-
ness (≤ 16.5 mm). Wires can hit the
guard cover and break.
• Suitable for rough rust removal, clean-
ing weld seams and removing paint.
• Exert only moderate pressure on the
workpiece. Do not exert excessive
strain on the wire brush by pressing
down too hard.
Inserting and removing the
battery
