2. THE FOUNDATION
The foundation is the most important step of the installation of your pool. It will support the pool for many
years. It's important to be thorough and take your time. Flatness and compactness of your foundation will have a
decisive e ect on the longevity of your swimming pool.
2.1 Determine the center point of the pool and insert a
peg at that point (after having considered all municipal
laws and your existing installations: deck, patio ect. DO
NOT remove the peg until step 7.6
2.2 De ne the sod area to be removed by attaching the
end of the tape measure (or rope) to the center peg, mea-
sure the radius of the pool + 12'' (30cm), then trace the
outside perimeter on the ground using spray paint.

2.3 Remove the sod, branches, rocks, pebbles and weeds
by using a mechanical tool or shovel.
Remove the sod on total foundation radius
