1. Before extended non-use, transport, or repair of the appliance, we
recommend to clean the appliance thoroughly and then to drain the water

lines, as described below:

2. In standby mode, press and hold the ON/OFF and Lungo buttons
simultaneously for 5 seconds.

3. The water line draining symbol flashes:
4. Remove the water tank from the appliance; the water line draining symbol
lights up continuously, indicating that the system is being drained. You
can press the ON/OFF button before removing the water tank to return to
standby mode.
5. When draining is finished, the appliance automatically shuts off.
6. IMPORTANT: After draining, press the "Hot water" button until water
emerges from the spout the next time the appliance is used.

Cause

Remedy
Plug the appliance into
an electrical outlet
Switch the appliance
off and then on again
Clean display with cloth
Pre-warm the cups
Rinse the appliance
three times before
brewing coffee
Press the "Hot water"
button until water flows
