2�2�9 Further information on external application
Risk of material damage!
If the unit is used outdoors, it must be ensured that the necessary equipment has been installed.
The necessary equipment for outdoor installation includes:
– Sufficient insulation of the entire duct ventilation system
– Weather protection cover (AIR1-AAD)
– Exhaust air discharge hood (AIR1-AAHF)
– Outside air intake hood (AIR1-AAHA)
– Terminal box heater (AIR1-AAHK)
– Ensure that the unit has been installed at a suitable height to prevent snow entering into the unit or duct system
– The unit can be permanently installed outside using the transport attachment
The wind loads in the respective area of application must be taken into account!
2�3 Electrical connection
The unit must be fully isolated from the mains power supply before all maintenance and installation work and
opening the terminal compartment! The electrical connections must be carried out in accordance with the
relevant wiring diagram and must only be carried out by qualified electricians� The electrical connection must
be fully isolated until the final assembly!
The unit is equipped with a main switch and an isolator which is secured against unauthorized switching with a U-lock.
The relevant standards, safety regulations (e.g. DIN VDE 0100) and the technical connection conditions of the local
electricity supply companies must be observed.
The electrical connection of the unit takes place directly in the terminal box or at the main switch.
The controller AIR1-BE ECO or AIR1-BE TOUCH (not included in scope of delivery) is connected to the unit via an
accompanying cable. The controller is delivered with a 5 m long cable, but 10 m or 20 m long cables are also available.
The maximum controller cable length is 100 m.
In accordance with standard EN 61000-3-2, the units should be classified as "professional equipment". The connection
to a low voltage supply is permitted in so far as this has been agreed with the energy supply company.

2�3�1 Power supply connection
Unit types: AIR1 RH 1500/2000/3000
1. Open the terminal box cover.
2. Check the thickness of the cable to be used for power connection.
3. Loosen the marked grommet and insert the cables (see Fig. 22).
