1.2.1 filtration position:

The pump sucks water from the pond via the skimmer, bottom cleaner or drain; it is taken to the multiport
valve (PUMP connection) and from the Bottom outlet of the valve to the inlet of the filter. It passes through
the filter bed and returns to the valve once again via the Top connection and is taken back to the pond by
the RETURN connection.

1.2.2 Backwash position

This function requires that the valve is set so that the water coming from the PUMP connection passes
through the valve and is taken to the filter by the TOP connection, the media is stirred and the water,
together with any accumulated dirt exits of the valve through the WASTE connection (emptying) and is
taken to the drain.

1.2.3 Rinse position

The valve is positioned to avoid sending water containing media to the pond. This function is achieved by
water coming from the PUMP connection entering the filter by the BOTTOM connection; the water enters
the valve via the TOP connection which then sends it to the WASTE connection. This process is carried out
in function of the pre-established time.

1.2.4 Closed position

The valve is positioned in such a way that the flow that comes in through the PUMP opening from the
pump is isolated from the other openings.

1.2.5 Recirculation position

In this position, water from the pump flows directly into the pond through the RETURN outlet after passing
through the valve, thus not passing through the filter.

2. INSTALLATION.

2.1 HyDRAULIC INSTALLATION.

Please take into account the following warnings:
- Apply PTFE sealing tape on the male thread elements, avoiding sealing paste under all circumstances.
- The use of PVC-U unions between the valve and the rest of the installation are recommended to facilitate
possible maintenance tasks.
- It is recommended to install a ball valve in the return pipe to the pond.
- Use suitable glue for ABS to glue of the exits of the valve body.

2.2 ELECTRICAL CONNECTION.

The valve must be connected to a general circuit breaker and a differential switch.
