1. VALVE CHARACTERISTICS

1.1 SPECIfICATIONS.

2" Multiport valve actioned by System VRAC automatic device.
The valve assembly to the filter will be LATERAL (side to the filter) in position 2.
Materials:
Valve body: ABS.
Internal distributor: PPO.
Spring: AISI-302 coated stainless steel.
Screws: AISI-316 stainless steel.
All the outlets of the body (pump, return, top, bottom and waste) are ready to glue to a diameter 63 mm
pipe.
Maximum working pressure: 350 kPa (3,5 bar) at 20ºC.
Test pressure: 520 kPa (5,2 bar) at 20ºC.
Maximum service life: 5.000 washing and rinsing programmes.
Temperature range: 5 - 35 ºC.
Degree of protection of the electronic module: IP-65.
Power supply: 230 Vac (50-60 Hz).
Maximum power = 35 W.
Maximum expected height use of 2.000 m above sea level.
The actuator is ready to control the next devices:
1.
Filtration pump directly operated by the valve
230 Vac - 50 Hz
Maximum power: 1,5 kW – 8 A
2.
Blower directly operated by the valve
230 Vac - 50 Hz
Maximum power: 1 kW – 6 A
A temperature sensor and a resistor have been installed in the control module to maintain a suitable indoor
temperature to avoid condensation caused by thermal differences that could damage the electronics.
Intended use: the valve is specially designed to be applied in filtration systems using a media filter. The
planned number of operations is sufficiently dimensioned for this application. Check with the manufacturer
for other uses.
The hydraulic and electric operation of the valve is checked at the factory.

1.2 fLOW DIAGRAM fOR THE VARIOUS VALVE OPERATING POSITIONS.

The valve should be installed in the filter following the instructions provided in the hydraulic connection
diagram. Installation under load, the maximum water column that can be supported by the valve is six
metres (19.68 ft).
The hydraulic connections for correct operation are made by following the markings on the valve body itself.
PUMP indicates the connection coming from the pump.
TOP indicates the lower input to the filter (Valve in position 2).
BOTTOM indicates the upper exit from the filter to the valve (Valve in position 2).
RETURN indicates the return from the valve to the pond.
WASTE indicates the connection to the drains.
