Before fueling, clean the tank cap area carefully,
to ensure that no dirt falls into the tank. Make sure
that the fuel is well mixed by shaking the container,
before fueling.
Chain oil (Fig. 11)
Slowly open the oil tank (16), and fi ll up with chain oil.
Always use good quality chain oil. When the engine
is running, the chain oil is automatically discharged.
Fill up the oil tank (16) with chain oil every time when
refueling.
NOTE
When pouring fuel or chain oil into the tank,
place the unit with cap side up. (Fig. 11)
Adjustment of chain oil supply
The chain oil quantity discharged through the
lubrication system is factory adjusted to the
maximum. Adjust the quantity in accordance with
the operating condition.
Turn the adjusting screw (17) counterclockwise
to increase the quantity and turn it clockwise to
decrease the quantity. (Fig. 12)
Starting the cold engine (Fig. 13-18)
CAUTION
Before starting, make sure that the bar/chain
does not touch anything.
1. Push the front hand guard (2) so that the chain
brake is engaged. (Fig. 13)

2. Set ignition switch (18) to ON position. (Fig. 14)
3. Push priming pump (19) about ten times so that
fuel fl ows into carburetor. (Fig. 15)

4. Pull the choke control knob (20) fully (Fig. 15).
This will automatically lock the throttle in starting
position.
5. Pull recoil starter (21) briskly, taking care to keep
the handle in your grasp and not allowing it to
snap back. (Fig. 16)

6. When you hear fi rst ignition, push the choke
control knob (20) fully. (Fig. 15)
