The coffee machine has a non-drip valve. You can also take the glass pot (7) from
the hotplate (6) during the brewing process and pour yourself a cup of coffee. But
be careful: You should place the glass pot (7) back on the hotplate (6) within ap-
prox. 20 seconds to prevent the permanent fi lter (11) from overfl owing with water!
10. Wait until no more coffee comes out. Now you can remove the glass pot (7). Switch

11. To keep the coffee warm, leave the glass pot (7) on the hotplate (6) and the device
on. The hotplate (6) will automatically deactivate after approx. 30 – 40 minutes. If the
device switches off, the control lamp will go out.
12. Remove the mains plug from the plug socket when the device is not in use.
13. After use, clean the permanent fi lter (11), the fi lter holder (10) and the glass pot (7) in
the manner described in the "Care and storage" chapter.

PLEASE NOTE!
■ Before commencing the cleaning, note the safety instructions in the "Safety
Instructions" chapter!
■ The device and accessories are not suitable for being cleaned in a dishwasher.
■ Do not use any caustic or abrasive cleaning agents for cleaning. These can damage
the surface.
1. Make sure that the device is switched off and not connected to the mains power!
2. Remove the permanent fi lter (11) and the fi lter holder (10) from the fi lter compart-
ment (9) and dispose of the coffee grounds.
3. Clean the permanent fi lter (11), the fi lter holder (10) and the glass pot (7) with hot
water and a little detergent. Dry these parts before they are placed back inside the
device.
4. If necessary, wipe the coffee machine with a damp cloth and then wipe it down with
a dry cloth.
If you would like to decalcify the water tank (3) and the lines, you can add com-
mercially-available decalcifi er for coffee makers to the water. Please follow the
operating instructions of the manufacturer for this. You should rinse out the water
tank (3) with water after decalcifying and perform at least one cleaning cycle with
just water (without decalcifi er) in the water tank (3).
