❐ Danger of scalding! Allow the compartment for coffee pad to cool down fi rst before
you remove used coffee pad!
❐ Always allow the coffee machine to cool down for at least fi ve minutes between
brewing operations before you use it again.
❐ Never pour water into a machine that is already switched on. In the worst case, you
could scald yourself on a sudden burst of steam.
❐ Never use the device without any water in the water reservoir as the pump could be
damaged if the device is operated without any water in it.
❐ Use only one coffee pad per brewing process to prevent the compartment for coffee
pad from overfl owing.
❐ Do not overfi ll the device. Make sure that you do not fi ll more than one cup of water
for one cup of coffee in the device to prevent the coffee cup from overfl owing later
on. Make sure that you do not exceed the max. mark on the water level indicator (ap-
proximately 230 ml).
The compartment for coffee pad is stowed in the water tank upon delivery. Re-
move it by fl ipping the water tank cover up.
1. Place the device on a level, fi rm and heat-resistant surface.
2. Connect the device to a mains socket that has been properly installed.
3. Pull the the coffee pad compartment out of the bracket and insert a coffee pad in
the compartment.
5. Open the water reservoir cover and add one cup of water to the water tank.
6. Then close the water reservoir.
7. Place the coffee cup under the coffee outlet.
8. Push the On-/Off-button to turn on the coffee maker. The power light will turn on and
the brewing process begins immediately.
9. The brewing process is complete once no more coffee fl ows into the coffee cup.
10. Push the On-/Off-button to turn off the coffee maker.
11. Remove the coffee cup.
12. Clean the device after use as described in the "Care and Descaling" chapter.
