❐ Never immerse the device, the power cable or plug in water.
❐ Remove the plug from the mains socket before cleaning the device.
❐ Do not use corrosive or abrasive cleaning agents to clean the device. These could
damage the surface.
1. Make sure that the device is switched off and not connected to the mains power.
2. Remove the compartment for coffee pad and dispose of the used coffee pad.
3. Clean the coffee pad compartment and the coffee cup with hot water and a little
detergent if necessary.
4. Then dry the compartment for coffee pad and the coffee cup thoroughly.
5. Place the coffee pad compartment back into the bracket of the coffee maker when
it is completely dry.
6. If necessary, wipe the coffee machine with a damp cloth and then dry them with a dry
cloth.

Descaling

If the water only runs very slowly through the device or the device is louder than usual
during the brewing process, you should descale the device. Use a standard commercial
descaling agent for coffee machines to descale the device.
1. Pour a mixture of water and descaling agent into the water reservoir and switch on
the device. Consult the instructions for using the descaling agent with regard to the
ratio of water to descaling agent.
2. Let the mixture run through the machine completely. Repeat this procedure if the
water still runs through slowly.
3. After descaling, let water (without coffee) run through the device at least three times
to fl ush the lines etc.

Troubleshooting

If the device should stop working properly, fi rst check whether you are able to correct
the problem yourself. Otherwise, contact our customer service department. Do not try
to repair a faulty device yourself!
