Safety Instructions

This device may be used by children aged 8 and over and by

people with reduced physical, sensory or mental abilities or a
lack of experience and / or knowledge if they are supervised or
have received instruction on how to use the device safely and
have understood the dangers resulting from this.
Children must not play with the device.

Cleaning and user maintenance may not be performed by chil-
■
dren, unless they are older than 8 years of age and are supervised.
Children younger than 8 years of age and animals must be kept
■
away from the device and the mains cable.
CAUTION – Hot surfaces! The device and accessories
may become hot during use. Only take hold of the designat-
ed buttons and handles of the device!
The device must always be disconnected from the mains when
■
it is left unattended and before assembling, disassembling, fi ll-
ing or emptying the water tank or cleaning it.
Never immerse the device, the mains cable and the plug in wa-
■
ter or other liquids and make sure that there is no risk of them
falling in water or getting wet.
Do not overfi ll the water tank in order to prevent the glass pot
■
from overfl owing later on! Do not exceed the MAX marking on
the water level indicator.
The device is not intended to be operated with an external timer
■
or a separate telecontrol system.
In the interest of your own safety, check the device, the mains
■
cable and the mains plug for damage every time before use.
Use the device only if it is in working order.
Do not make any modifi cations to the device. Also do not re-
■
place the mains cable yourself. If the device, the mains cable
or the device plug is damaged, it must be replaced by the man-
ufacturer or customer service or by a similarly qualifi ed person
(e. g. qualifi ed workshop) to avoid any risks.
