Observation of the curve :
The obtained curve is a straight line passing through the origin (within the limits of the
domain under study).
Ultrasonic absorption :
Complementary experiment.
Turn the mirror over so that its foam-coated side faces the ultrasonic beam from the
transmitter.
For a few values of the angle i, try to obtain of the corresponding values of r.
Observe that the signal is no longer reflected: no observable amplitude can be obtained for
the signal sensed by the receiver.

Verification of the law of reflection
The measurements are rather tricky and they are limited to an approximate verification of the
relationship
Ultrasonic absorption
The ultrasonic waves are absorbed by the foam coating of the support used.
Note: The experiment can be repeated by using the second recess for the displacement of the
transmitter or (and) of the receiver.
