 A few changes must be made prior to installation:
Adhere the adhesive magnetic sole on the bottom of the MODUSON transmitter (P/N
222 027 or P/N 222 076) and place the self-adhesive label (12 mm x 63 mm) representing a
white line on the front and in the upper part of the transmitter.
On one of the MODUSON receivers (P/N 222 028 or P/N 222 078), adhere the self-adhesive
label (8 mm x 32 mm) representing a white line on the front and in the lower part of the
receiver.
In both cases, these labels are indexes for locating the position of the transmitter or the
position of the receiver inserted in their recesses on the moulded PVC base.
 MODUSON requires the use of a 15V stabilised power supply.
Note: A built-in protection circuit prevents any instrument damage in case of wrong polarity connection
of the power supply.
 MODUSON Complement can be used to perform two experiments:
In fifth form for the study of reflection. In this experiment, the mirror with a magnetic base is
used together with one transmitter and one receiver. The transmitter (P/N 222 027 or 222
076) can be used directly but its base is too large and does not fit into the recess in the
moulded PVC table. It is preferable to use the complementary transmitter 2, which has a
suitable size, at the expense of a slightly bulkier setup.
In scientific upper sixth forms, the study of interference phenomena requires the simultaneous
use of the two (main and secondary) transmitters. The transmitter 2 is connected by means of
a shielded cable to the BNC output of the main transmitter that delivers a common and
synchronous signal for the two transmitters. See the figure on page 1.
