Trouble shooting plan
Fault
01. Height adjustment too tight
02. Angle adjustment too tight
03. Workpiece jams between saw blade
and longitudinal fence

Threaded spindie contaminated with
sawdust
Tooth segments and toothed rack dirty
Longitudinal fence not running parallel
to sawblade
a) saw blade is blunt
b) longitudinal fence not running parallel
to sawblade
c) wrong saw blade
Hexagon screws shifted on tooth segment
a) mains fuse blown
b) extension cable defective
c) saw blade jammed
d) motor or switch connections not ok
e) motor or switch defective
f) motor switches off automatically when
overloaded
g) Capacitor defective
mains plug leads wrongly connected
a) running on two phases
b) extension cable too long, cable cross
section too small
belt loose
wrong splitting wedge setting
Remedy
Clean threaded spindie and treatwith
dry lubricant spray.
Clean tooth segments and toothed rack
and treat with dry lubricant spray
Check longitudinal fence setting and
readjust.
a) change saw balde.
b) Check and readjust longitudinal
fence setting
c) use a saw blade for longitudinal or
cross cuts
Readjust hexagon screws on tooth
segment
a) check mains fuse
b) check extension cable, do not
continue to use defective cable
but have it repaired professionally.
c) open cover of protective box and
eliminate cause of faults
d) have checked tiy qualified technican
e) replace motor or switch, see
electrical connection
f) let motor cool down (for as long as it
takes) and switch back on
g) Have capacitor replaced by a skilIed
mechanic
swap terminals in wall socket
a) check mains fuses
b) see electrical connection
Tighten belt
Readjust splitting wedge
