WARNING: Th e brush cutter, if properly used, is a
quick, confortable and effi cient tool. So that your
work is always pleasant and safe, please respect the
following safety precautions scrupulously.
WARNING: – National regulations could limit use
of the machine.
1 - Never use the brush cutter when you are tired or
fatigued or if you have taken alcohol, drugs or
medication (Fig. 1).
2 - Wear appropriate clothing and safety articles such as:
boots, heavy-duty trousers, gloves, protective eyewear,
ear protection and protective helmet (look pag. 12-13).
Use clothing which is close-fi tting but comfortable.
3 - Do not allow other people to remain within 15 metres
during brush cutter use (Fig. 2).
4 - Before using the brush cutter, make sure that the blade
fi xing bolt is well-tightened.
5 - Th e brush cutter must be equipped with the cutting
accessories recommended by the manufacturer (look
pag. 22-23).
6 - Never use the brush cutter without the blade guard
or the head guard.
7 - Before starting the engine, make sure that the throttle
lever works freely.
8 - Before starting the engine, make sure that the blade
is free to move and is not in contact with any foreign
objects.
9 - Every now and then while working, stop the engine
and check the blade. Replace it at the fi rst sign of
cracks or breaks (Fig. 3).
10 - With the engine idling, the blade should not turn. If

it does, regulate the idle adjustment screw.
11 - Carry the brush cutter with the engine off .
12 - Only work when you are in a stable and secure
position (Fig. 4).
13 - Start the brush cutter only in well-ventilated areas (Fig.
5).
14 - Never touch the blade or attempt any maintenance
work while the engine is running.
15 - Always keep the handles clean of oil and fuel (Fig.
6).
16 - Store the brush cutter in a dry place, away from heat
sources, and off the ground.
17 - In order to avoid hitting stones or other objects, do
not cut too close to the ground, wires netting (fences)
and walls.
18 - Check the brush cutter daily to be sure that
components and safety devices are full functioning
properly.
19 - All operations on the machines, diff erent from those
indicated in this manual, must be carried out by
qualifi ed personnel.
20 - Read this manual carefully until you completely
understand and can follow all safety rules, precautions,
and operating instructions before attempting to use
the unit.
21 - Restrict the use of your brush cutter to adult users who
understand and can follow safety rules, precautions,
and operating instructions found in this manual.
Minors should never be allowed to use a brush cutter.
22 - Only allow others to use this brush cutter who have
read this Operator's Manual or received adequate
instructions for the safe and proper use of this

brush cutter.
23 - Never use a damaged, modified, or improperly
repaired or assembled brush cutter. Do not remove,
damage or deactivate any of the safety devices.
Only use cutting tools indicated in the table (page
22). Always replace cutting tools or safety devices
immediately if it becomes damaged, broken or is
otherwise removed.
24 - Carefully plan your operation in advance. Do not
start cutting until you have a clear work area, secure
footing.
25 - Please note that the owner or the user is responsible
for any accidents or damage to third parties or their
property.
WORK PRECAUTIONS
WARNING! - Always follow the safety precautions.
Th e brush cutter must only be used to trim grass
material. Do not use the brush cutter as a lever to lift ,
move or break objects, nor lock it on fi xed supports. It
is forbidden to apply tools or applications that are not
the ones indicated by the manufacturer onto the brush
cutter's power take-off .
When the machine is running, grip the front handle
fi rmly with your left hand and the Power Unit handle
with your right hand (Fig. 6). Never use a cross-handed
grip. Left -handers should follow these instructions too.
Check that all parts of the body are kept away from the
muffl er.
