2. Switching On and Off (Fig 11)
CAUTION:
Before plugging in the tool, always check that the On/Off trigger (7) actuates properly.
To prevent the switch trigger from being accidentally pulled, a lock-off button is provided.
- To start the machine, push the lock-off button down, and then press the switch trigger (7).
- Release the switch trigger (7) to stop the machine.
3. Operation
- Secure the workpiece to be cut in the vice.
- Push the lock-off button down, and then press the switch trigger (7) to start the machine.
- Lower the bow slowly until it comes into contact with the workpiece. To avoid breaking the blade, reduce
pressure as soon as the blade comes into contact with the workpiece.
- Complete cutting up to the end of the stroke and let the cut piece fall onto the base of the machine.
- Release switch trigger (7) to stop the machine.
- Lift the baw as far as it will go.
CAUTION:
- It is absolutely forbidden to lubricate the blade before/during/after cutting.
- It is absolutely forbidden to work without the blade guide and the protective plate installed and positioned
properly.
- It is absolutely forbidden to work without the protective guard installed and positioned properly.
CAUTION:
To prevent accidents, make sure to turn the switch off and disconnect to the plug from the power receptacle.

1. Inspection and cleaning

- Keep the machine clean.
- The machine, especially the plastic parts, should be cleaned with a soft damp cloth. NEVER use solvents to clean
machine. They could possibly damage the material.
- Repair, modification and inspection must be must be carried out by a LEMAN Authorized Service Center.
In the operation and maintenance of power tools, the safety regulations and standards prescribed in each country
must be observed.
- Regularly inspect all mounting screws and ensure that they are properly tightened. Should any of the screws be
loose, retighten them immediately. Failure to do so could result in serious hazard.
The motor unit winding is the very "heart" of the machine. Exercise due care to ensure the winding does not
become damaged and/or wet with oil or water.
- For safe and proper working, always keep the machine and ventilation slots clean.
- Periodically blow out all air passages with dry compressed air.

2. Inspecting the carbon brushes (Fig 13)
The Motor employs carbon brushes which are consumable parts. When they become worn to or near the "wear
limit", it could result in motor trouble. The power tool must then be sent to an after-sales service agent.
When you have to replacement the carbon brushes by yourself, please following the order:
- Both carbon brushes should be replaced at the same time.
- Use only identical carbon brushes.
- Loosen and remove the two brush covers (11) on both sides of the motor housing.
- Remove the carbon brushes.
- After replacing the carbon brushes, reinstall and screw the two brush covers (11).
3. Transportation& storage
- Stop the machine.
- Pull out mains plug and remove the power cord from the machine.
- Leave the motor to cool down (approx. 30 minutes).
