- Do not start the machine if the blade is in contact with the workpiece.
- Hold the operating handle (6) firmly.
- Keep your hands away from moving parts: sliding bars, table axis, sawing head axis etc.
- Pull off the release knob (19) to position A and lift the sawing arm to its full height.
Sawing without sliding mode:
- Loosen the slide lock (18), push the sawing arm forward to the stop, and retighten the slide lock (18).
- Press the start trigger (28) (Fig 23).
- Push the safety lever (4) to release the blade guard (Fig 24).
- Allow the blade to reach maximum speed and slowly lower the blade into and through the workpiece, while
releasing the safety lever (4).
- Saw by applying uniform feed; movement should be smooth and continuous. Do not force on the blade; allow the
blade to make the cut.
! Danger! When lowering the sawing head, the blade guard rises automatically: keep hands away from the
blade!
- Cut the piece completely and all at once.
Sawing in sliding mode:
- Loosen the slide lock (18), pull the sawing arm backward.
- Press the start trigger (28) (Fig 23).
- Push the safety lever (4) to release the blade guard (Fig 24).
- Allow the blade to reach maximum speed and slowly lower the blade into and through the workpiece, while
releasing the safety lever (4).
! Danger! When lowering the sawing head, the blade guard rises automatically: keep hands away from the
blade!
- Slowly push the sawing head forward to the end, while holding down.
- Saw by applying uniform feed; sliding of the sawing head should be smooth and continuous. Do not force on the
blade; allow the blade to make the cut.
! Danger! Never pull the saw head backward while sawing!
- Cut the piece completely and all at once.
After sawing:
- Once completely cut the workpiece, release the start trigger (28), wait until the blade completely stops, and raise
slowly the blade out of the workpiece.
- Make sure the safety lever (4) snaps and blocks the blade guard.
- Remove the 2 parts of the workpiece.
! Danger! Never remove the cut parts while the machine is running: wait until the blade completely stops.

MAINTENANCE AND INSPECTION

CAUTION!
Always pull out the mains power plug before starting any cleaning work.
CAUTION!
Repair, modification and inspection must be carried out by a LEMAN Authorized Service Center.
In the operation and maintenance of power tools, the safety regulations and standards prescribed in each country
must be observed.
1. Cleaning and maintenance
- Clean the device immediately each time you have finished using it.
- Keep all safety devices, air vents and the motor housing free of dirt and dust as far as possible.
- Wipe the equipment with a clean cloth or blow it with compressed air at low pressure.
- Clean the equipment regularly with a moist cloth and some soft soap. Do not use cleaning agents or solvents;
these could attack the plastic parts of the equipment.
- Ensure that no water can seep into the device.
- Regularly inspect all mounting screws and ensure that they are properly tightened. Should any of the screws be
loose, retighten them immediately. Failure to do so could result in serious hazard.
