Safety instructions

The safety switches are not suitable
a
for hazardous areas. For skilled
electricians and trained person
in accordance with national legislation,
including the relevant standards and, where
applicable..
Modifications to the safety switch or
changes of its design are not permitted.
They shall be used for their intended
purpose and in perfect and clean condition.
For replacement and repair, only genuine
Cooper Crouse-Hinds / CEAG spare parts
shall be used.
Repairs may only be carried out by Cooper
Crouse-Hinds / CEAG or a qualified
electrician in compliance with the respective
national regulations.
Prior to their taking into operation, the
safety switches shall be checked in
accordance with the instructions as per
section 6.
Before the initial operation, any foreign
matter will have to be removed from the
safety switch.
The safety switch cover can only be
removed in „On" position.
Observe the national safety rules and
regulations for prevention of accidents as
well as the safety instructions included in
these operating instructions set in italics the
same as this text

Conformity with standards

The safety switches fulfil the isolating
properties acc. to DIN EN 60947 as well as the
AC 23 motor switching capacity acc. to DIN EN
60947 .
The safety switches meet further requirements
such as those of the DIN EN 60947-3, IEC
947-3 and the EC directive on electromagnetic
compatibility (89/336/EEC) as well as of the EC
directive on electrical equipment for use within
defined voltage limits (73/23/EEC).
They have been designed, manufactured and
tested according to the state of the art and to
DIN ISO 9001.
