Maintenance and Cleaning

Before any work on the power tool itself,
pull the mains plug.
If the power tool should fail despite the care tak-
en in manufacturing and testing procedures, re-
pair should be carried out by an after-sales ser-
vice center for Bosch power tools.
In all correspondence and spare parts orders,
please always include the 10-digit article num-
ber given on the type plate of the power tool.
Cleaning
For safe and proper working, always keep the
power tool and its ventilation slots clean.
Under extreme operating conditions when
working metal, conductive dust can accumulate
inside the power tool. In such cases, blow out
the ventilations slots frequently and connect a
ground fault circuit interrupter (GFCI) on the
line side.
For machines with retracting blade guard: The
retracting blade guard must always be able to
move freely and retract automatically. There-
fore, always keep the area around the retracting
blade guard clean.
