9.6 Seasonal Maintenance

The ChildPod® and Cycle frames should be cleaned and protected regularly.
Have the Cycle tuned and adjusted as outlined in your Bicycle Manual.
• Tighten locking nuts in the LeaderLink® steering Tie Rod and Drag Link.
• Check brake pads in ChildPod® hub for excessive wear.
• Check LeaderLink® Connection to ensure brake is connecting
• Refer to Bicycle Manual for Cycle maintenance.
9.7 LeaderLink®
Ensure that both the LeaderLink® Brake Coupler and Pod Clamp connection
points thread in properly and smoothly. These knobs do not need to be forced.
Verify that the Cycle Fork Dropouts fit onto the Steering Interface properly.
Damage to either the Dropouts or Steering Interface may result in a failure in
LeaderLink® Steering.
If the Brake Coupler, Pod Clamp, Fork Dropouts, or Steering Interface become
damaged and do not thread/fit properly, discontinue use of your Zigo® Leader™
immediately and contact your nearest Authorized Zigo® Dealer for servicing or
contact Zigo® directly.
9.7.1 LeaderLink® Braking
As is the case with any cable brake system, the LeaderLink® Braking System
may require adjustment from time to time. Please review this section carefully.
LeaderLink® Balance Response Braking is also connected to the ChildPod®'s
Jogging Brake and, to a lesser degree, the Cycle Front Wheel brake.
Adjust Brake Lever Barrel Adjustor:
If you notice that the LeaderLink® Balance Response Braking requires
adjustment, do so in the following sequence. Failure to do so may
result in failure in the LeaderLink® Balance Response Braking.
1. Convert your Leader™ into Carrier Bicycle Mode and connect the LeaderLink®
Brake Coupler.
