8.1.1 Setting the Harness Height
Restraint Harnesses can be set at three different heights, depending on the size
of your child, by threading the Restraint Harness Strap beneath one, two, or no
Cross Webbing Straps.
• 12 months and younger: Use both Lower and Middle Cross Webbing Straps.
• 12 to 36 months: Use only the Middle Cross Webbing Strap.
• 36 months and older: Use no Cross Webbing Straps.
1. Remove Restraint Harness Adjustment Straps from Double Bar Slide.
2. Pull both Harness Adjustment Straps out from Cross Webbing.
3. Thread Harness Adjustment Straps through the appropriate number of Cross
Webbing straps and into the Double Bar Slide.
4. Repeat on other side.
8.1.2 Securing your Child in ChildPod®
Lift Restraint Harness up and out of the way while seating passengers. Seat
each child in ChildPod® and place Crotch Belt between legs. Place a Restraint
Harness over each child's head. Adjust Crotch Belt Strap and Restraint Harness
Adjustment Straps so that buckles are centered on each child's lower chest.
Always adjust Restraint Harness and Crotch Belt so that they meet
at child's lower chest. Positioning harnesses and buckles near your
child's neck could result in serious injury or death.
