Laboratory Mill CD 2
1.1 Installation
The machine is generally delivered assembled and ready to use.
❏ In certain instances, the two feed-hoppers may be dismantled
due to problems of handling bulk during transport. Carefully remove
the two distributor protection shield and mount the two feed-
hoppers (the one with the magnetic dumper goes on the right or
break side; the other on the left side).
❏ If possible, set mill on a sturdy flat-top table (machine weighs
approximately 100 kg) measuring 1.20 m by 0.50 m. The height of
the table may vary according to the height of the operator. We
recommend an average table height of 0.70 m. The table must be
placed in the laboratory in such a way so as to allow the operator to
freely move around the mill.

1.2 Electrical connection

The two 0.5 HP motors and the micro-motor reducers are
connected at the back of the machine:
❏ 3 wires and 1 ground for three-phase 230/400 V AC for power
supply to the motor. break roll 0.75 CV - reduction roll: 0.5 CV.
❏ 2 wires + 1 ground terminal for the 230 V single phase micro-
geared motor supply.
Unless otherwise specified by the customer, the triphase motors are
connected to 400 V.
Once connected, check that the 0.5 HP motors are turning in the
correct direction: two arrows on each end of the sieves (end plates
removed) indicate the correct rotary direction. When the motor on
the break roll side is turning in the correct direction, then the
reduction roll side motor will also rotate correctly and vice-versa.
❏ In order to connect the CD2 to three-phase 230 V, See
"MOTORS WIRING" page
