9. Unpacking
• Open the packaging and remove the device carefully.
• Remove the packaging material as well as the
packaging and transport bracing (if available).
• Check that the delivery is complete.
• Check the device and accessory parts for transport
damage. Inform the transport agent immediately of
any faults. Later complaints cannot be considered.
• If possible, store the packaging until the warranty
period has expired.
• Familiarize yourself with the machine with the help
of the operating instructions manual before using it.
• Use only original parts for accessories as well as
consumables and spare parts. Spare parts can be
obtained from your scheppach retailer.
• Please quote our article numbers as well as type
and production year in all your orders.
m ATTENTION!
The device and packaging materials are not toys!
Children must not be allowed to play with plas-
tic bags, film and small parts! There is a risk of
swallowing and suffocation!

10. Before commissioning

Warning!
Always remove the battery pack before making ad-
justments to the equipment.
Check the drilling point for concealed electrical ca-
bles, gas and water pipes using a cable/pipe detector.
Additional handle (10) (Fig. 2)
Only use the hammer drill with the additional
handle for safety reasons.
The additional handle (10) allows the user to maintain
added grip during use.
The machine must not be used without the additional
handle (10) for safety reasons.
The additional handle (10) is fastened to the hammer
drill through clamping.
Turning the handle anticlockwise (looking from the
handle) will release the clamp. Turning the handle
clockwise will tighten the clamp. First release the
additional handle clamp (10). You can then swing
the additional handle (10) into the most comfortable
working position for you. Now turn the additional han-
dle (10) in the opposite direction again until the addi-
tional handle (10) is secure.
Insert the depth stop (12) (Fig. 3)
The depth stop (12) is held with the lock (11) on the
additional handle (10).
• Press the lock (11) and insert the depth stop (12).
• Bring the depth stop (12) to the same level as the drill.
• Release the lock (11) again.

Adjust the depth stop (12) (Fig. 3)
After inserting the depth stop (12), it can be adjusted
to the desired drilling depth.
• Press the lock (11) and pull the depth stop back to
the desired drilling depth. The scale on the depth
stop (12) makes setting easier.
• Release the lock (11) again.
Tool insertion (Fig. 4)
• Clean the tool before insertion and apply a thin
coating of drill bit grease to the shaft of the tool.
• Pull back and hold the locking sleeve (2).
• Insert the dust-free tool into the tool mounting as far
as it will go whilst turning it.
• Release the locking sleeve (2).
• The tool will lock itself.
• Check that it is properly secure by pulling the tool.
Tool removal (Fig. 5)
• Pull back and hold the locking sleeve (2) and re-
move the tool.
11. Installation
m Important!
You must fully assemble the appliance before using it
for the first time!
m Danger!
To prevent all danger, the machine must only
be held using the two handles (5/10). Otherwise
there may be a risk of suff ering an electric shock
if you drill into cables.
To ensure that the Li battery pack provides long ser-
vice you should take care to recharge it promptly. You
must recharge the battery pack when you notice that
the power of the cordless equipment drops.
Insertion / removal of a batterypack (7) into the
appliance
Ensure that the appliance is switched off before in-
serting the battery. The insertion of a battery into an
electrical appliance that is switched on can lead to
accidents.
Inserting the rechargeable battery pack (7):
Move the rotation switch (4) into the middle position
(lock) and push the rechargeable battery pack (7) into
the handle until it engages.
Removing the rechargeable battery pack (7):
Press the release button (9) and remove the re-
chargeable battery pack.
