Check the signal chain
NOTICE
For the duration of the maintenance work, deactivate the alarm function in the control unit if necessary. During the maintenance
work, the gas warning system issues current values of up to 20 mA.
To check the signal chain of the overall length, test currents on the 4 to 20 mA interface must be issued:
1. Connect the Pulsar Interface Adapter to the communication port and switch on the communication mode.

2. Connect the HART
handheld terminal to the Pulsar Interface Adapter.
3. Establish communication on the HART
4. In the 6 / Analog config menu, select 7 4-20 mA test.

5. On the HART
handheld terminal, select the test signal to be issued (current values, gas values, warning, maintenance,
Beam Block or fault).

The HART
handheld terminal displays Test active.
The transmitter LEDs indicate the "Issue test currents active" state, not the corresponding test signal present.
The selected test signal is issued on the 4 to 20 mA interface.
6. Exit the 7 4-20 mA test function
The gas warning system changes to measuring mode.
The LEDs indicate "Measuring mode".

7. Exit the HART
application.

Dispose of the product in accordance with the applicable rules and regulations.
1) The gas warning system exits Test active mode automatically after 1 hour and returns to measuring mode.
