Operation
Duct-mount gas detectors only:
i
Align the transmitter and receiver with the knurled screws (1) so that the maximum signal strength (
on Page 54) is achieved.
ii
Align the transmitter and receiver with the knurled screws (1) so that the measuring points of the transmitter and
receiver on the HART
The tolerance range of 30 scale divisions around 0 must not be exceeded after alignment (see the dashed line for TX S
in the figure on Page 54).
iii Tighten the lock nuts (2). When doing so, check and ensure that the measuring points of the transmitter and receiver

on the HART
handheld terminal remain within the 30 scale divisions around 0.
b. In the 5 / Maintenance menu, select 2 Stop alignment.
The system exits the alignment mode and outputs the measured signal.

c. Exit the HART
application.
d. Open-path gas detectors only:
Install the weather protection on the transmitter and receiver.
Duct-mount gas detectors only:
Fit the cover on the transmitter and receiver.
If no DIGITAL LINK connection is installed, alignment mode has to be exited separately at the transmitter. Otherwise, zero
calibration is not possible.
CAUTION
Danger of subsequent incorrect measurements if the zero calibration is not performed correctly.
► Ensure that during the zero calibration, no measured gas is in the measuring path and that the lenses are clean.
