Maintenance
Personnel:
CAUTION!
Dosing pumps may only be maintained by trained and authorised persons.
Regularly scheduled maintenance is required for equipment to function properly long term.
NOTICE!
The normal maintenance interval is every six months, but shorter intervals may
be required if parts are subjected to heavy stresses (e.g. continuous
operation).
Maintenance means checking and testing safety and function features leakproofness of
components, if necessary, replacement of hoses and pipe work. Refer to the pump
documentation for maintenance instructions.
If the backflow, which can be delivered as a separate option, is going to be installed, then
the BA type must be checked 1x annually.
We recommend checking:
1.
that the connections on the suction and pressure lines are not leaking
2.
that the suction and pressure valves are clean and leak-tight
3.
that the discharge connector on the pump head is OK (diaphragm break)
4.
that dosing is correct
5.
that the dosing head screw fittings are seated securely as described in the User
Guide for the Pump.
NOTICE!
The service life of the diaphragm depends on the following:
– Back pressure
– Operating temperature
– Metering medium.
We recommend that you check the diaphragm more frequently in extreme
operating conditions and if metering abrasive substances.
