5.1

Safety Instructions for Installation

The following safety instructions must absolutely be followed. Not following them properly
can lead to accidents, injury or damage to the unit.
The operator is responsible for properly instructing and training employees who will be
servicing the equipment or who will be changing the chemicals.
Protective gear is not part of the scope of delivery; the operator must provide safety
glasses and safety gloves. These items must be stored in a suitable location.
CAUTION!
Any connection and repair work on the unit may only be undertaken by
authorised experts.
Before any work on electrical components is done, you must disconnect the
power supply at the control as well as at the signal-prominent machines.
Suitable protective clothing must be worn during maintenance and repair work.
These safety requirements and hazardous materials regulations for working
with chemicals and, in particular, the instructions pertaining to the respective
safety data sheets must always be followed
5.2

Installation requirements

n Make sure there is enough space for a wall mount.
Use the proper-sized anchor mount (a hollow-wall type anchor mount) on a dry wall

n Make sure the electrical supply is working and available.
Pay attention to the fresh-water connector requirements!
n
Prevent equipment malfunction by providing a dirt deflector upstream.
NOTICE!
Safeguard against backflow of non-potable water into the supply line must be
in place in accordance with EN1717 (backflow, type BA) The standard scope of
delivery does not include components related to this.
If the operator has not installed any safeguards, the Smart Dose II water
connection / backflow (see
on page 36), which can be delivered separately, must be connected
upstream.
CAUTION!
The system must not be operated without some type of backflow safeguard in
place!
