Grilling on the grill plate (1)

The grill plate (1) is suitable for grilling meat, potatoes and other vegetables as well as fruit. The
grill plate (1) has a non-stick coating. It usually does not have to be oiled between the individual
preparations. If you think it needs to be oiled again, however, apply a small amount of oil with a
food or pastry brush.

Frying on the stone plate (2)

The light oiling of the raclette grill when preparing it suffices for frying on the stone plate (2). If
possible, you should not apply any more oil to the stone plate (2).
The stone plate (2) becomes very hot and retains the heat very well. Thus it is particularly well
suited for flash-fried food, steaks, bacon and poultry. Please note that the stone plate (2) requires
approximately 30 minutes to become hot enough. You can reduce this time by preheating the stone
plate (2) in the oven.
DANGER! There is a risk of burns! The preheated stone plate (2) is very hot. Use oven
gloves or pot holders to touch it.
Place the food you want to fry on the stone plate (2). Make sure that the food is placed within
the area surrounded by the grease drip tray.
Turn the meat once only, sooner or later depending on your taste, and then leave it to finish
cooking.
To get a tender result, meat should be turned once only and should then be left to finish
cooking. Frequent turning leads to a dry, tough result.
