3 MANUAL FOR USE OF THE DIRECTOR+ PROGRAMME
3.1. STARTING A SESSION
To start a session, select your user name or your profile
in the list of users. If a key word is defined then enter it in
the text box and press 'OK'.
If you have forgotten your key work, contact the system
administrator.
The start -up of a session conditions the user's
possibilities of action with regard the profile assigned
(see installation manual).
Starting a session is necessary to in itialise the system,
but another session can be started at any time without
this affecting the correct functioning of the system.

CONTROL OF ACCESSES

This section explains the possibilities of configuration of the access control
system. It is accessed through the icon 'Access'.
Most of the configuration is carried out when installing the system.
Having completed the technical configuration, the configuration of the system is
carried out in the following recommended order:
Creation of groups of users, c reation of time bands, creation of the series of
keys or transmitters, configuration of public holidays and types of events to be
handled.
Access to this section is from the explorer 'Access'.
The explorer presents the elements to be configured in hier archical form. Each
type of element has a menu adapted which enables the creation, modification or elimination of these elements.
The menu appears on selecting the desired element.

3.1.1 GROUPS OF USERS

The creation of groups of users enables us to han dle efficiently
access to different areas of the installation. Each group of users can
access the areas previously selected, understanding by area each of
the centrals and the readers of those centrals.
In the 'Access' menu mark the group to be modified .
The creation or modification of a group enables selection of the
authorised readers from among the readers available.
Mark / unmark a central to include / exclude its readers in the group.
The suppression of a group means the invalidation of the key s or
transmitters assigned to that group.
It is possible to create up to a maximum of 128 different groups.
