A minimum frequency of 20 Hz for 4-pole motors and 32 Hz for 6-pole motors must be guaranteed to ensure motor
cooling in ventilation and smoke extraction mode. Speed control may only take place when using a frequency in-
verter with sine wave filter (see accessory FU-CS) . Otherwise, there will be a risk of damage to the motor winding
insulation.

The relevant regulations for function preservation (e.g. pipe installation directive) must be observed.

Warranty claims – Exclusion of liability
All versions of this documentation must be observed, otherwise the warranty shall cease to apply. The same applies
to liability claims against Helios. The use of accessory parts, which are not recommended or offered by Helios, is not
permitted. Any possible damages are not covered by the warranty. Changes and modifications to the unit are not
permitted and lead to a loss of conformity, and any warranty and liability shall be excluded in this case.

Regulations – Guidelines
If the product is installed correctly and used to its intended purpose, it conforms to all applicable provisions and EU
guidelines at its date of manufacture.

Shipping

The unit is packed ex works in such a way that it is protected against normal transport strain. Carry out the shipping
carefully. It is recommended to leave the fan in the original packaging.
m Personal injury and/or material damage due to incorrect shipping!
− Never stand beneath suspended loads.
− Make sure that the unit is firmly seated or screwed to the pallet before transportation.
− Protruding components e.g. isolator switch or cooling air duct must not be damaged during transportation.
m Material damage due to heavy load!
In this respect, use suitable transportation/lifting device and attachment devices. Weight information can be found in
the table in section 5.0 on page 15 or the label on the unit.
m Personal injury and/or material damage due to unit tipping over!
− Disregard of the centre of gravity can lead to the slipping, tilting or falling of the load.
− When transporting the unit, carefully observe its behaviour and stay clear of any possible hazardous areas.
− Transportation on the ground must be carried out using ground transport equipment.
The fan is screwed firmly to the pallet for transportation (see Fig. 2 and Fig. 3).
− The weight can be found on the unit type plate. The respective centre of gravity positions can be found in the table,
Fig. 3 must be observed.

− The protection guard must be removed over size 450 in order to lift the load at the proposed anchor points (see
Fig. 4).
− The removal of the protection guard must only be carried out with protective equipment: Safety footwear and gloves.
