The following section provides you with an overview of possible causes of error to help you in
trouble-shooting.
11.1

Trouble-shooting instructions

Warning!
In the case of devices approved for use in explosion hazardous areas, error diagnosis cannot be
performed on the open device as the explosion protection would no longer be guaranteed.
11.2

Process error messages

Errors occurring during the self test or during operation are shown immediately on the display.
Acknowledgeable error messages are deleted after pressing a key. A fault is present if the hardware
for writing and reading data (EEPROM) is defective or if data cannot be read properly from the
EEPROM.
Error code Description
E101 The warning symbol is constantly displayed. The EEPROM is
defective
E111 The warning symbol is constantly displayed. The EEPROM is
defective
E102 The warning symbol is constantly displayed. The operating
parameters are invalid or the software version does not match
the operating parameters saved. Possible causes include power
failure when saving the parameters or a software update.
E103 The warning symbol is constantly displayed. The calibration
values are incorrect. Possible causes include power failure
during the calibration, an uncalibrated device or a hardware
fault.
Incorrect entry
Error code Description
E290 The number of places after the decimal point cannot be
increased due to numerical overflow of the dependent
parameters.
E291 NAMUR values are not in ascending order.
Action/remedy
The device must be replaced.
