The thermostatic fitting has been prepared for performing thermal disinfection by
over-torquing the thermostat. By unlocking the concealed stop on the temperature
selector lever, manual thermal disinfection can be performed on the thermostatic
fitting (flushing with a water temperature ≥70°C).
12.1 Place a shower pipe (e.g. HT pipe, d
discharge the hot water to prevent scalding during thermal disinfection.
Caution!
Do not touch the housing during the thermal disinfection process.
Failure to observe can cause bodily harm due to scalding.
12.2 With the Allen key depressed, turn the temperature selector handle (a) counter-
clockwise until it reaches the stop.
12.3 When the stop is reached, pull out the Allen key and continue to turn the temper-
ature selector handle (a) over the stop.
12.4 Turn the temperature selector handle (c) counter-clockwise until it reaches the stop
(end position).
12.5 Trigger the valve.
12.6 Measure the hot water temperature.
12.7 If the hot water temperature is > 70°C, flush the valve at least 3 minutes. To this end,
trigger the fitting several times.
Thermal disinfection must be logged (room, tapping point, date, time, temperature,
duration).
12.8 Turn the temperature selector handle (a) clockwise until it locks.
Caution!
The temperature selector handle (a) must not be able to rotate counter-clockwise
past the stop.
12.9 Check the stop.
12.10 Open the fitting so that the remaining hot water is discharged.
12.11 Measure the water temperature. The maximum water temperature must not exceed
40°C (see

12.12 Remove the shower pipe.
After thermal disinfection has been performed, it is not necessary to readjust the
