3 Intended use
3.1 Indications for use
System ankle joints are intended to be used exclusively for providing a
patient with a lower limb orthosis.
In case of unilateral use, the manufacturer recommends that the system
ankle joint be processed by means of the lamination resin technique or car­
bon prepreg technology.
3.2 Indications
Partial or total paralysis of the leg muscles.
Indications must be determined by the physician.
3.3 Lifetime
The product is designed for the following lifetime, given intended use and
proper installation:
Joint sizes 10, 12: 1 year
Joint sizes 14, 16, 20: 3 years
