What is the difference between cleaning and disinfecting?
Cleaning is the removal of dirt from the meter.
Disinfecting is the removal of most, but not all, disease-causing and other
types of microorganisms (bloodborne pathogens) from the meter.
When should the meter be cleaned and disinfected?
Clean and disinfect the meter to remove visible dirt or other material

on a regular basis.
Clean and disinfect the meter always when there is blood on it.

the meter, for instance, if you have someone assisting you.
