Mounting the Grinding Tools
(Accessories – see figure
Before any work on the tool itself, pull the
power plug.
For inserting and removing the grinding tool, se-
cure the mounting flange 4 with the retaining
pin 9.
Loosen the clamping nut 1 with the two-hole
wrench for clamping nut 8.
Clean the mounting flange 4 and the clamping
nut 1.
Mount the grinding tool and tighten firmly with the
clamping nut 1. Make sure that the grinding tool
can rotate freely in the protection guard 2.
After installing an accessory, position
yourself and bystanders away from the
plane of the rotating accessory and run the
power tool at maximum no load speed for
one minute. Damaged accessories will nor-
mally break apart during this test time.
Replacing the Mounting Flange 4
Straight grinding discs as well as conical discs
can be mounted. To attach them, always use the
suitable clamping nut 1 together with the mount-
ing flange 4.

Using a screwdriver, pry the spring washer 10 out
of the groove on the grinder spindle 3 and re-
move the mounting flange. Mount a fitting mount-
ing flange 4 accordingly.

Protection Guard
Place the protection guard 2 on the spindle collar.
)
A
Adjust the position of the protection guard 2 to
the requirements of the work process. Clamp
tight with screw.
When using tapered grinding/sanding discs up to
125 mm in diameter, you can work with the sup-
plied clamping parts without needing the protec-
tion guard 2.
Use the protection guard 2 when operating with
flat grinding/sanding discs as well as with cup
brushes.
Quick Clamping Nut
Instead of the regular clamping nut 1, you can
also use the quick clamping nut 7. Grinding tools
can then be mounted without additional tools. Be-
fore mounting, make sure that the arrow 12
points to the index mark 11.
11
12
Use only a flawless, undamaged quick clamp-
ing nut 7.
A properly tightened and undamaged quick
clamping nut can be loosened by turning the
knurled ring counterclockwise.
Never loosen a tightened quick clamping nut
with pliers. Instead, use a two-pin wrench. In-
sert the two-pin wrench as shown in the illustra-
tion.
The quick clamping nut 7 may not be used for
brushes.
